UCHealth Navigation & Homepage Redesign
Project Overview: UC Health’s appointment scheduling process was hindered by a cluttered navigation bar with 15 options, causing users to abandon the process. The website was responsible for 87% of total appointments, making this an urgent issue.
Process:
Conducted live and optimal workshop user interviews to identify pain points.
Created a new prototype based on user feedback and tested it in subsequent interviews.
Improved the task completion rate for booking appointments from 67% to 81%.
Presented findings to stakeholders, leading to the implementation of changes with minimal development effort.
Issues:
UC Health’s hero image of rare disease stories isolated them negatively. Users perceived UC Health as only for rare diseases, not primary care.
Redesigned the homepage to highlight primary care services while retaining the hero stories, clarifying UC Health’s broader service offerings.
My Role:
Developed the research discussion guide and conducted live sessions.
Created and iterated the homepage prototype based on user feedback.
Presented findings to stakeholders, leading to a 14% increase in appointments in Q1.
